Careers

We are a small team doing careful work on infrastructure that matters. Two roles are open.

Senior Platform Engineer

Sydney, hybridFull timePosted 15 September 2026

You will run and improve the environments behind each network’s utility server: the clusters, the key stores, the observability and the release pipeline. You will be on the on-call rotation with the rest of the engineering team.

What you will do

  • Run and improve the production environments behind our service.
  • Own infrastructure as code and the release pipeline, including tested rollbacks.
  • Design monitoring that tells us about a problem before a network does.
  • Take part in change windows and the on-call rotation.
  • Write things down so the next person does not have to ask.

What you bring

  • Five or more years running production Linux systems.
  • Infrastructure as code and containers in production.
  • Experience with PKI: certificate issuance, rotation and revocation.
  • A habit of measuring before changing.
  • The ability to explain an incident plainly to a client.

Useful but not required

  • Energy sector experience, or any fleet protocol such as IEEE 2030.5.
  • Work on an ISO 27001 or AESCSF programme.

DER Integration Engineer

Sydney or remote within AustraliaFull timePosted 1 October 2026

You will be the person inverter manufacturers, aggregators and network engineers talk to when a client will not register, a control is not being honoured, or a programme is changing shape.

What you will do

  • Onboard manufacturer and aggregator clients onto test and production endpoints.
  • Run conformance checks against CSIP-AUS and interpret the results for both sides.
  • Help networks define programmes, default controls and registration processes.
  • Turn recurring problems into documentation and tooling, mostly in Python.
  • Represent us in client working groups.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience with IEEE 2030.5 or CSIP-AUS from either side of the connection.
  • Comfort reading packet captures and XML.
  • Experience working with a distribution network, a manufacturer or an aggregator.
  • Clear writing.

How we hire

An initial conversation, a technical conversation with two engineers, a short practical exercise you can do in your own time, and references. We reply to everyone who applies, usually within a week. We do not use recruiters.

How to apply

Email hello@corvane-energy.com with the role name in the subject line and whatever best shows your work. A short note about why this role is fine; a cover letter is not required.
